Cash and Security Management Requests

Contribute, withdraw, and transfer funds between investment accounts.

Cash and Security Management Requests enable users to submit requests on behalf of clients in order to contribute to, withdraw from, and transfer funds between their investment accounts at Optimize.

Search for the client contact in the HubSpot Search bar, open the client contact card, and find the client’s CRM Contact record page.

Requests can be submitted directly from the CRM by using the Servicing extension located in the middle panel of the client's CRM Contact Record page.

Add Funds

You can submit a request to contribute funds to a client's investment account by navigating to the Servicing (Service Request) extension, selecting Cash and Security Management, and then by selecting Add Funds. The Add Funds request section has three Request Types that you can choose from when contributing funds to a client's investment accounts:

  • EFT In: Contributions can be made by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for accounts that have an authorized bank account set up to process EFT In requests. Learn more about and how to submit EFT In requests.
  • Contribute from investment account: This request type is to contribute to registered accounts from funds available in the clients cash account. This request can be done in-cash or in-kind
  • Initiate a transfer: This request type is for transfers from a relinquishing institution. 

Withdraw

You can submit a request to withdraw funds from a client's investment account by navigating to the Servicing (Service Request) extension, selecting Cash and Security Management, and then by selecting Withdraw Funds. The Withdraw Funds request section has four Request Types that you can choose from when withdrawing funds from a client's investment accounts:

  • EFT Out: This request type will withdraw funds from the clients account by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Accounts must have an authorized bank account set up to submit EFT-Out requests.
  • Withdraw to an investment account: This request type is for withdrawals from a registered account to a cash account. This withdrawal can be done In-Cash or In-Kind
  • Send a cheque to client: This request type will have the funds mailed to the client via cheque.
  • Send a cheque to third party: This request will have the funds mailed to a third-party via cheque. 

Transfer

You can submit a request to transfer funds in between client accounts by navigating to the Servicing (Service Request) extension, selecting Cash and Security Management, and then by selecting Transfer. The Transfer request section has two Request Types that you can choose from:

  • Cash transfer: This request type is to transfer cash between accounts of the same type, as-well as for in-cash unlocking's or rollovers.  
  • Securities transfer: This request type is to transfer securities between accounts of the same type, as-well as to process in-kind unlocking's and rollovers. 

Transfer (third party)

You can submit a request to transfer funds to third-party accounts at Optimize by navigating to the Servicing (Service Request) extension, selecting Cash and Security Management, and then by selecting Transfer (third-party). This request section has two Request Types that you can choose from: 

  • Cash Transfer (Third Party): This request type is to transfer cash between accounts of the same type, For example: Transfer cash from your own cash account to your sibling's cash account 
  • Securities Transfer (Third Party): This request type is to transfer securities between accounts of the same type. For example: Transfer Optimize Private Opportunities funds in-kind to your father's account at Optimize.
