Requires:- Proof of divorce or separation
- Transfer from a Tax-Free Savings Account (TFSA) to another TFSA due to the breakdown of marriage or common-law partnership

All Other Cases of Marital Breakdown Transfers
Requires:- Proof of divorce or separation
- Form T2220
How to submit the request
First, find the client's CRM Contact Record page by searching contact name in the search bar. Next, navigate to the Servicing (Service Request) tab on your clients contact card and select Account Administration.
Step 1:
- Select Special handling
Step 2:
- Select Marital Breakdown
Step 3:
- Select the from account
Step 4:
- Select the to account
Step 5:
- Select
- Amount type: Full or Partial
- Source of Funds: Model or All
Step 5:
- Attach the signed document.
- Attach proof of marital breakdown
- Specify the amount
- Review the details & submit the request
- Please ensure that both spouses have signed the attached form.
- If only signed by one spouse, a Certificate of marriage must also be attached.
- Otherwise, The transferee can attach a signed letter from the current or former spouse or common-law partner acknowledging the certification, in place of a countersignature.
