Everything you need to know about transferring cash or securities to a third-party Optimize account
You can submit a request to transfer funds to third-party accounts at Optimize by navigating to the Servicing (Service Request) extension, selecting Cash and Security Management, and then selecting Third Party Transfer.
The most common reason to use this request type is when the client would like to transfer funds in-cash or in-kind to a person or entity that falls under the distinction of a third-party. Some examples are spouses, siblings, parents, children, and corporate accounts.
Please note: Third-party transfers are limited to Cash and Margin accounts.
How to submit the request.
Search for client contact in the HubSpot Search bar, open client contact card and find the client’s CRM Contact Record page.
From the client's contact record, start by navigating into the Servicing (Service Request) tab, which is found in the middle panel of the contact record.
Then click on Cash and Security Management.
Step 1:
- Select Third Party Transfer.
Step 2:
- Select Cash transfer (Third Party) or Security transfer (Third Party)
Step 3:
- Select the From Account
Step 4:
- Select the To Account
Step 5:
- Specify the Amount Type and Source of funds.
- Amount types: Full or Partial?
- Source of funds: Model or All?
Step 6:
- Review the request and confirm all the details.
- Attach the Letter of Direction (LOD)
- Enter the Dollar Amount to be transferred
- Press submit

Security transfer (third party) requests are generally completed in 4 business days
Service Standard
For cash transfer (third party): Upon submission, the assets will be sold on the next available Friday, with settlement occurring four business days later. Then the transfer will be processed which takes 2 days
