Withdrawing and sending by cheque to a third-party (Send cheque to third party)

Learn how to request a withdrawal by 3rd party cheque.

When requesting a withdrawal as a cheque to a third party, you must ensure you have a signed Letter of Direction (LOD). Please ensure that the form has been signed by the client.

How to Submit the Requests

Search for client contact in the HubSpot Search bar, open the client contact card, and find the client’s CRM Contact record page.

You can submit a request to Withdraw funds by navigating to the Servicing (Service Request) extension which is the middle-panel on the contact page. Then, select Cash and Security Management, and Withdraw. 

Step 1:

The first property you will be asked to specify is the Request Type. 

  • Select Send cheque to 3rd party

Step 2:

  • The second property you will be asked to specify is the From Account. 

Step 3:

You will be prompted to specify: 

  • Amount Type: Is the withdrawal Full or Partial?
  • Source of funds: Are the funds from the assigned Optimize Model, or All?

Step 4:

  • Specify the Amount
  • Attach the LOD

To prevent delays, please use the correct LOD for this request. 


Upon submission, the assets will be sold on the next available Friday, with settlement occurring four business days later. The withdrawal processing will then be completed within two additional business days, making the total process take between 7 to 11 business days.
