Withdrawing to a related investment account

Learn how to withdraw funds from a registered account to a related cash account

  • Withdrawals (De-registration) of funds can be done In-cash.
  • Only TFSA accounts are permitted to de-register funds In-Kind. 

How to Submit the Request

Search for client contact in the HubSpot Search bar, open the client contact card, and find the client’s CRM Contact record page.

Start by navigating into the Servicing (Service Request) tab from the client's contact record, which is found in the middle panel of the contact record. Select Cash and Security Management.

From there, you can select Withdraw Funds and proceed to specify the details of the request via the right sidebar pop-up. 

Step 1:

The first property you will be asked to specify is the Request Type. 

  • Select Withdraw to Investment Account 

Step 2:

  • The second property you will be asked to specify is the From Account

Step 3:

  • Select the To Account

 

Step 4:

You will be prompted to specify: 

  • Amount Type: Is the withdrawal Full or Partial?
  • Withdrawal Type: In-Cash or In-Kind
    • TFSAs are the only accounts that are permitted to withdraw In-Kind
  • Source of funds: Are the funds from the assigned Optimize Model, or All?

Step 5:

  • Specify the amount
  • Review the details of the request
  • Press Submit

In Cash: Upon submission, the assets will be sold on the next available Friday, with settlement occurring four business days later. The withdrawal processing will then be completed within two additional business days, making the total process take between 7 to 11 business days.
