Cash and Security Management Requests enable users to submit requests on behalf of clients in order to contribute to, withdraw from, and transfer funds between their investment accounts at Optimize. 

Add Funds 

The Add Funds service request is used when a client wants to deposit money into their investment account. This request ensures that funds are properly allocated and processed according to the client’s instructions.

What are the different methods to Add Funds

Clients can add funds through the following methods:

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT In) – Transfer funds electronically from a linked bank account into an investment account.
  • Contribute from an Investment Account – Move funds from one investment account to another as a contribution (e.g., RRSP, TFSA).
  • Initiate a Transfer – Begin transferring assets from an external financial institution or another account within the firm.

Withdraw Funds

The Withdraw Funds service request is used when a client wants to move money out of their investment account. This ensures that withdrawals are processed securely and directed to the appropriate destination based on the client’s instructions.

What are the different methods to Withdraw Funds

Clients can request withdrawals through the following methods:

  • EFT Out – Transfer funds electronically from an investment account to a linked bank account.
  • Withdraw to an Investment Account – Move funds from one investment account to another (e.g., from a non-registered account to a TFSA or RRSP withdrawal).
  • Send Cheque to Address – Request a cheque to be mailed to the client’s designated address.
  • Send to Third Party – Transfer funds to an external party as per approved instructions.

Transfer 

The Transfer service request is used when a client wants to move assets between accounts, either in cash or securities. This request ensures that transfers are completed accurately and in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

What are the different method to Transfer 

Clients can initiate transfers through the following methods:

  • Cash Transfer – Move cash from one investment account to another.
  • Securities Transfer – Transfer investments such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds from one account to another without liquidating them.

Third Party Transfer 

The Third-Party Transfer service request is used when a client wants to transfer assets—either cash or securities—to an external party. This request ensures that funds or investments are securely and properly directed to a third-party account in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements.

What are the different methods to Third Party Transfer 

Clients can initiate transfers through the following methods:

  • Cash Transfer – Move cash from the client’s investment account to a third-party recipient’s account.
  • Securities Transfer – Transfer investments such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds directly to a third-party account without liquidating them.
