How to Complete the RESP Panel
Learn how to accurately complete the RESP panel when opening a new account.
The RESP panel collects essential personal details about the account holder.Used to designate beneficiaries and contribution allocations specific to RESP accounts.
If the client’s details already exist within the CRM, the information in this panel will auto-populate. You must still open the panel to review, verify accuracy, and click Save to mark it complete.
Filling Out RESP Application Information
Enter the client’s RESP details into the provided fields:
- RESP Plan Type: Select if the plan is single beneficiary or family beneficiary.
- Are the beneficiaries of your education saving plan siblings? (Only applicable for family beneficiary): Select Yes or No
Note: if opening a family education savings plan, each beneficiary must be related to the Subscriber by blood or adoption and must be under the age of 21 unless, immediately prior to this designation, he or she was a beneficiary of another family education savings plan.
Saving the Panel
After completing all required fields:
- Click Save to lock in the provided details.
- The panel status will update from Incomplete (yellow) to Complete (green) upon successful saving.
