How to Complete the Trusted Contact Person (TCP) Panel
Learn how to accurately complete the Trusted Contact Person (TCP) panel when opening a new account.
The Trusted Contact Person (TCP) panel collects essential personal details about the trusted contact person, such as name, contact information, date of birth, and relationship. This information is critical for identity verification, compliance, and client communication.
If the client’s details already exist within the CRM, the information in this panel will auto-populate. You must still open the panel to review, verify accuracy, and click Save to mark it complete.
Filling Out Trusted Contact Person Information
Enter the TCP personal details into the provided fields:
- Does the client wish to appoint a Trusted Contact Person?: Select Yes or No. If Yes is selected, enter the following information:
- First Name: Enter the TCP's first name.
- Last Name: Enter the TCP's last name
- Email: Provide an active email address for TCP communication (required).
- Phone Number: Enter the TCPs main contact number (required).
Filling Out Trusted Contact Person Address Information
- Country: Type in the country. (E.g., Canada, United States).
- Search Address: You can search the address to auto populate the fields.
- Civic: Type in the civic number.
- Street Name: Type in the street name
- Unit Type (if applicable): Type in the unit type. (E.g., Apt, Unit).
- Unit Number (if applicable): Type in the unit number.
- Street Direction (if applicable): Type in the street direction. (E.g., North, SW,).
- Country: Type in the country. (E.g., Canada, United States).
- City: Type in the city. (E.g., Toronto, Oakville)
- Province: Type in the province. (E.g., Ontario, Alberta.) If you are in the U.S then type in the state. (E.g., New York, Ohio)
- Postal Code: Type in the postal code. (E.g. for postal code X#X#X#) (E.g., for zip code ##### or #######)
- Relationship: Select the relationship from the drop down menu. (E.g., Child, Parent)
Important Information: The Client's full address must not contradict what is written on the ID and/or Void Cheque which they are submitting. Please indicate both the street number or the unit number along with the street name. Please note that the Client's Street Address cannot include a P.O. Box. If the mailing address should include a P.O. Box, please check the box to add a Mailing Address. When adding a P.O. Box, please add “P.O. Box” to the “Civic” field, and the box number (i.e., 199) to the “Street Name” field.
Saving the Panel
After completing all required fields:
- Click Save to lock in the provided details.
- The panel status will update from Incomplete (yellow) to Complete (green) upon successful saving.
