Learn how to manage your LinkedIn Profile on Desktop
Your LinkedIn profile is an important part of showcasing your role at Optimize Wealth Management. By keeping your profile updated with accurate and consistent information, you can highlight your professional experience and the value you bring to clients, colleagues, and industry connections.
Add, change, or end a job on a desktop
If you don't have any positions listen on your profile, the Experience section won't appear.
To add the Experience section and a position(s):

Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage, then View Profile.

Click Add profile section button in your introduction section.

Click Core dropdown, then Add position.

In the Add experience pop-up window, enter the following information into the field provided:

- Title: Your job title
- Employment type: Select Permanent Full-Time
- Company Name: Search "Optimize Wealth Management" and select the option when it is displayed.
- Location: Your city, province, and country.
- Ensure that the check box "I am currently working in this role" is selected.
- Start Date: The month and year that your employment at Optimize Wealth Management began.
- Description: Please refer to the "Client facing job descriptions" section at the bottom of this article and use the pre-approved description for your respective role.
Then, click "Save".
Tip:
If you select "Update my headline", you can display your current experience in your introduction section. You can also edit the information displayed in the Headline field.
To edit or end a position:

Click the
icon at top of your LinkedIn homepage, then View Profile.

Scroll down to the Experience section.

Click Show all experiences.
- Add: Click the + icon at the top of the Experience section. Make changes where applicable and tap Save.
- Edit: Click the
icon next to the position you'd like to edit, and after editing, click Save.
Add or change the cover image on your profile
To add a cover image:
Before your start
Elevate your LinkedIn with our professionally designed and approved cover image. Download it below and follow the steps to set it up to ensure a polished and consistent look.
- Click the
icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click View Profile.
- Click the
Camera icon on the upper-right corner on your introduction section.
- Click Edit profile background to select an image from your computer, select the image and click Open.
- Click Apply.
- The image will upload automatically
To change a cover image:
- Click the
Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click View Profile.
- Click the
Edit icon on the upper-right corner of the cover image in the introduction section.
- From here, you can change the cover image:
- Click Change photo and follow prompts to change your cover image
- Click Apply.
Add or change your LinkedIn Profile Picture
To add a profile photo:
- Click the
Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click View Profile.
- Click the
Camera icon in your introduction section.
- If you’ve already added a profile photo, you won’t see the Camera icon.
- Click Upload photo to select an image from your computer.

Click Save photo.
To change your profile photo:
- Click the
Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click View Profile.

Click on your profile photo in your introduction section.
- In the Profile photo pop-up, you can:
- Click
Add photo and follow prompts to change your profile photo.
- Click

Click Save photo.
Edit Your Headline
To edit your professional headline:
- Click the
Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Click View Profile.
- Click the
Edit icon on your introduction section.
- In the Edit intro pop-up window, make your changes in the Headline field.

Click Save.

By utilizing these standardized descriptions, you ensure consistency across profiles, making it easier for clients, colleagues, and industry professionals to understand your expertise and the value you bring to your role.
