Navigating the Dashboard

Maximizing the Conquest Dashboard for Financial Planning.

Navigating the Conquest dashboard is intuitive, providing financial planners with a user-friendly interface to access all essential tools and client data. The dashboard serves as a central hub where you can quickly view client portfolios, financial plans, and key metrics, allowing for seamless access to various planning features. By understanding the layout and key sections, you'll be able to efficiently manage client cases, run simulations, and generate reports with ease.

Basics of the Dashboard

In the top left corner of the dashboard, you'll see the client's full name and their currently selected plan.

The selected plan is the main financial plan you're working on or reviewing for the client at the moment. If there are multiple plans for different goals, like retirement or education funding, the selected plan is the one you're actively working with, making updates or running simulations.

This feature helps you manage and compare various financial strategies for the client, ensuring you're always focused on the right plan. The selected plan includes important details like client information, financial assumptions, goal progress, and any scenario analyses.

Options for Graphical Representations and Analysis

In this dashboard, we'll focus on the client's Retirement Plan, specifically their Retirement Goal Success, which shows the percentage of the total funds needed that are expected to be available when the client starts retirement.

In the example below, the chart displays both historical values and a projected future value for the retirement goal. The chart automatically updates when a related strategy or goal is changed.

Above the chart, there's an icon with a magnifying glass and a chart symbol. Clicking this icon opens a dropdown with different chart options, along with an option to expand the list and a search bar to quickly find the preferred graphical view.

On the far right side, above the graph, the user can click on a gear icon to display options for viewing the data. These options include different representations of data values (either present or future value), data manipulation tools, download options, and colour customization for the chart.

Cash Flows, Net Worth, and To-Do List

The section below will cover the key metrics displayed on Conquest's Dashboard: Cash Flows, Net Worth, and the To-Do List.

Cash Flows

Cash Flows represent the movement of money into and out of a client's accounts over time, playing a key role in financial planning, especially for goals like retirement or estate planning.

The number next to the Cash Flow header ($90,974) shows the annual cash amount for the current plan. The donut chart breaks down this total into savings ($9,600), debt ($19,200), and expenses ($24,000), with the remaining amount ($38,174) left unspecified.

Net Worth

Under the Cash Flow section, the client's Net Worth is displayed, representing the current year-end value of all assets minus liabilities within the plan. More detailed information on assets and liabilities can be found on the Overview page

To-Do List

In Conquest Planning, the To-Do List helps financial planners assign and manage goals across different sections like Retirement or Legacy. For each goal, planners can set a due date, provide a rationale, and outline the actions needed to achieve it. To add a new task, planners simply click the clipboard icon and select Add To-Do.

The "Your To-Do List" section displays goals organized by their due dates. Clicking a goal opens the "Review" page, where planners can filter and sort goals by criteria such as Goal, Owner, Action Date, or Strategy. Each goal is shown in a box with its due date, and planners can click to view more details, including the rationale and the task owner (the financial planner responsible for the goal).

Filtering the To-Do List

The To-Do List offers an option to filter the client's goals and strategies. Under the Grouping dropdown, four options are available:

  • Goal: The "Goal" filter allows planners to view tasks based on specific client goals, such as retirement or legacy planning.

  • Owner: The "Owner" filter enables planners to sort tasks by the individual responsible for them.

  • Action Date: The "Action Date" filter organizes tasks by their due date.

  • Strategy: The "Strategy" filter helps planners categorize tasks based on specific planning strategies, such as tax optimization or asset allocation.

There is also a 'Show' filter option, allowing the user to select specific goals to display in the To-Do List. Four options are available:

  • All: The "All" filter displays every task across all stages.

  • To Do Now: The "To Do Now" filter shows only the tasks that are due or should be prioritized immediately.

  • To Do Later: The "To Do Later" filter displays tasks that are not yet due or are scheduled for a later time.

  • Updated by Client: The "Updated by Client" filter shows tasks that have been modified or updated based on the client's feedback or input.
