Understanding Unscored SAM Strategies
The Unscored SAM Strategies in Conquest Planning refer to financial strategies identified by the platform's Strategic Advice Manager (SAM) that are not currently prioritized or given a numerical score in the planning process. These strategies provide additional options for advisors and clients to consider but are not immediately ranked based on their impact on the client's primary financial goals. This feature allows flexibility, enabling users to explore and implement alternative strategies manually, tailoring their financial plans to specific preferences or emerging priorities.
This is the Client's Dashboard which will be displayed at the beginning. The Current Overview in Conquest is your go-to section for reviewing the most recent data on a client’s financial situation. It provides a summary of all key aspects, including accounts, liabilities, goals, and current strategies. Click on the tab that says "Planning" to get directed to the planning tab.
The Planning tab highlights the platform's goal-based financial planning features. It focuses on providing personalized, actionable advice through its Strategic Advice Manager (SAM), which is central to creating comprehensive and dynamic financial plans.

With the click of a button SAM can recommend beneficial strategies, however some things it can't guess. As such, we have unscored strategies available that provide further control for your recommendations to model exactly what you want to present to your clients. From the Strategies panel, you can access Unscored strategies by pressing the More button at the bottom of the panel.
Unscored strategies can be differentiated from scored strategies by the fact that they do not display an immediate percentage of effect on a goal. Unscored strategies initially do not include any values - only once you include the required parameters does a percentage of increase or decrease appear as it relates to the effect of the strategy on the relevant goal.
Unscored strategies can be relevant to an array of use cases such as creating a specific change, for instance opening a new account, and subsequently moving money to the new account from a different account.
An unscored strategy can be turned into a scored strategy depending on the settings applied. For example, the strategy titled Adjust account fees is unscored when first created, but the account fee adjustments can have a quantifiable impact on the client’s goals once the necessary information is added.
